I got the replacement spouts at the local farm supply store for my little cans for my truck generator. Need more vents to adapt to other cans.

Yup. One of the reasons why I've got a saved search on eBay for Blitz 5-gallon cans so I can have the requisite # of cans for my rotation schedule (plus a couple extras). CARB and the smooth brains who couldn't use a gas can without blowing themselves up can kiss my ass.

I've put the EZ-pour spouts on several cans and swear by them. Excellent upgrade.

If you’re starting from scratch Justrite and Eagle metal gas cans aren’t that expensive. They have their own issues like being difficult to fill with the snap on funnels and will rust if left outdoors. But I like them a whole lot more than plastic cans.

Thats good to know. When I got the 2 one gallon cans I just looked for what was on hand locally. The plastic cans I got ended up fitting perfectly side by side in my cargo box to be handy to refill my little honda gen in the cargo box.

Ive inherited a number of other plastic cans id like to make more useful though.

Unless they had tops on them, wouldn't they just evaporate?

Wouldn't they just evaporate in the truck?

Wouldn't you pass out from the fumes in truck?

Wouldn't the truck just explode from the fumes after you passed out...

Would make for a great Florida Man headline.

    Yes.

I want to get a couple of Rotopax cans.

And HDPE rubbing against other synthetic materials generates static. So there’s an ignition source integrated into the equation. There’s a reason why plastic cans aren’t DOT approved for transporting fuel, and no I don’t know how your supposed to get them home from the pump without dying in a blaze of glory.

I was trying to be optimistic and thinking they must have lids for the buckets...but there doesnt seem to be any evidence of that.
