Precision Delta 130gr FMJ in GP100?

I've been hovering over the "buy" button on a bunch of jacketed bullets to make practice rounds for .38 SPL in my GP100. The Precision Delta 130gr FMJ .38 caliber bullets look like a good option for that project.

Nice secant-ish looking ogive, which seems to correlate to good accuracy in a lot of guns, and a decent length of cylindrical bearing area.

Did some searches here and in the larger guggle world and found no real discussion of this item. It comes up mostly in semi calibers and regarding their 148gr HBWCs. Lots of semi shooters have good things to say about their 9mm jacketed, but those are obviously a different product in different guns.

General idea is to load them to whatever works out to be accurate and roughly equivalent to the Gold Dot 135gr +P load.

Anyone use and like or dislike these?

I have never had much luck loading revolver loads with bullets that don't have a cannelure or crimp groove to do a roll crimp.

Here is another possibility with a cannelure. I haven't tried them.

When I was active in IDPA and shooting SSR with the original power factor, I was loading Rainier plated 158 RNs. I seated them so that the end of the bearing surface was just below the case mouth and used a light roll crimp that just snugged the case mouth up to the bullet without crimping into it. You could probably do the same with the PDs, or just use a taper crimp.

This is the other one I was looking at for revolver practice.

Probably a better choice for GD surrogates anyway, but I am probably about to have a credit at PD due to their excellent CS, so I was thinking about what to do with it.

Their .45s may also be a good choice, as I have a bunch of 185gr target HPs already on hand, and they should work out similarly.

The 130gr JSP has a cannelure and is $20.00 per 100.
