I do not know why it is not more widely publicized that Omar's parents were both officials in the regime of despised Somali dictator Siad Barre. That's part of the reason for their ending up in a Kenyan refugee camp.

Nancy Pelosi's people are surely in talks with the state DFL to make sure this sort of thing gets nipped in the bud in future elections. I m thinking Omar's taking first state then national office was partially an F-U from Keith Ellison to the Democratic National Committee.
He probably got the State Attorney General seat via Soros influence.
Omar replaced a party line liberal Jewish woman who had served many, many terms with little controversy.
