Thread: Glock 17L holster

    Glock 17L holster

I'm looking for a OWB holster for my 17L.

Ideally it would be a open ended holster, that way I could use it with a Glock 34 or Glock 17 down the road.

Basically a general purpose, range / walking around outside / possibly beginner competition holster.

    Any suggestions?

DarkStarGear or JM could probably make you one.

Can do an open ended 34.

If a willing party had a slide and we had enough interest we could do a full Orion and Osiris mold.
    Think for yourself. Question authority.

Our Quick Ship R/C holster can be made to fit the 17L.... is just long enough and can be open ended. If you order, just let me know in the comments you want it cut to G 17L length. Thanks

    Thanks for the suggestions guys.

So far the holster that most closely fits what I'm looking for is the basic Fobus open end holster.

Short profile + open end = fits 19/17/34/17L, which is really what I'm after. Just a universal OWB Glock holster:

Is there any higher quality equivalent? And if not, is Fobus tolerable as a range/training/light competition holster?

That's a bad holster. Tony answered your question above.

Comp-Tac also has an open bottom holster, the QB https://comp-tac.com/qb-holster-owb-...line-comp-tac/

I believe the Warrior holster is also open ended https://comp-tac.com/warrior-holster...r-competition/

Awesome, thank you. The QB looks perfect, exactly the type of universal holster I was looking for.

A proper OWB holster should cover the front sight post, at a bare minimum.
