    Match 1911/2011's.

    How many out there:

    1. Use a 1911 in 9mm or .38 super in matches?

    2. Use a 2011 or widebody frame 1911 in 9mm or .38 super in matches?

    Thank you,

    BR

EGW built SV Open gun. Began life as .38 super. Rebarreled to 9mm 3 years ago.

Colt and SA 9mm for IDPA ESP.
STI Eagle 9mm for USPSA Limited Minor. (Yes, I know, but I can't put up with Major recoil any more.)

    I have not shot a 2011 since I stopped shooting Limited 10. I shoot a 9x19 SVI 1911 for Bullseye.

I run a Springfield Armory 1911 Range Officer 9mm in IDPA. Used to run a Paraordnance 45 then a 40 in IPSC Limited. Have a STI 2011 45 I run for fun sometimes in IDPA.

I use an STI 2011 Eagle 9mm in steel matches and a Wilson Combat 1911 Government Model in IDPA matches (when I am not shooting CZ Shadows).

Run a Kimber stainless Target in 9mm for competitive shooting. Steel challenge, or IDPA ESP lately. Probably would shoot it for USPSA but it's been a second since I've been to a USPSA match. Minor power factor be damned, I like having extra rounds.

Lone Star Innovations Open gun in .38 Supercomp for USPSA. It's my favorite pistol ever at this point.
