    That is a minute flaw from the casting procedure. Most likely this one is the only on that you have seen. It means nothing and has zero significance. Ruger wrote the book on investment casting. Once I was asked to destroy a Ruger Security-Six frame which had had the serial numbers ground off. I placed the revolver on a large concrete slab and beat it with a sledge hammer. Bending the frame was difficult.
