    USPSA, sixgun style

So I was finally able to get to a competition this year. I've just been so busy with my son and work. Steph can and squaded with me and it was great to shoot with her.

I felt ok about my showing. I had one failure to engage and a couple no shoots but besides that I was just focusing on being efficient.

I didn't record the qualifier but it was an easy B, pushing A.

One problem I was having was that I kept getting friendly reminders about my muzzle during reloads. I was trying but my dirty unique reloads really need it to be vertical to keep the powder from catching under the extractor.

Good for you to get out there and give it a go. 6 round stage planning is a bear. I had a guy on my squad at the MN Section match a couple of weeks ago shooting 6 shot minor with speedloaders. He placed second in Revo, behind the only other entry.

Regarding your muzzle direction, was the concern that you were beyond vertical on the ejection? That can be a 180 break, but otherwise your muzzle looked fine.

C hits at 4 points help a lot. Minor punishes them.

Good work, and not even an eightshooter.

If they didn't like me elevating my muzzle for clean ejection, I'd be unhappy. Nobody knows how a revolver works any more.

In the desert, looking for water.
I’ve never had anyone try to tell me I shouldn’t be dumping empties that way at a match. I might have had a gentle “show and tell” moment with them if they had.
