Thread: OWB Quick On/Off Recommendations

Not sure how similar it’ll be when Tony gets his design finalized, but I somehow lucked out and he made me a QMS holster last year some time. It’s a great holster, easy to take on and off, stable, and conceals about as well as any OWB does on me.

Looking forward to the new rendition, I’ll end up picking a couple up undoubtedly.

That looks like EXACTLY what I'm thinking of. The straps to allow easy on/off and Kydex(?) for rigidity between those two straps.

I carry my EDC in a Bianchi Foldaway holster which is OWB leather and works with L & R carry. It is the thinnest option I have ever seen for OWB as it is one piece of leather. I came upon it in a Walmart one day while buying some bore cleaner. It comes in 2 sizes: one for subcompacts like my PPSM2 and one for compacts like the Glock 19. You get both fo $10. I decided to experiment with it. Now it is my EDC holster. It provides good trigger coverage but still allows a combat grip draw. Retention is made by belt tightness. The holster collapses flat by pressing on it when empty. I have been using this holster for EDC for the past teo months and now my other OWB and IWB holsters get little to no use.

This is a link to the holster at Safariland where you can see a photo of how it sets up on the belt:

QMS style attachments are the only way that will work without some significant drop in security.

FWIW, I have used a Safariland GLS paddle for a G19, G26 and G43(ALS). They have worked for me, if a bit bulky.

RCS Gear has the Vickers holster, but doesn't list it for your gun https://rcsgear.com/vickers-signature-series-holster/
