It seemed sarcastic. And in all honesty this has been talked about a lot. Guys that have had both have explained how much easier these new guns conceal. Specs do not mean shit. Numbers are just numbers sometimes. Just because on paper the widths seem similar does not mean they are, most of the time the single stacks are actually quite narrower but the slide releases are the wide part. Which do not affect carry at all. I have had most of the options mentioned. And in no way do the double stacks compare to the new breed.

I believe the slide width on a g43 is under .9”. The px4 is around 1.2” that really shows up iwb.

This is helpful. Thank you. I like the ten round capacity (11). I like this size of pistol for carry vs. pocket size carry pistols. They are more accurate and typically have less recoil.

That's not the M&P9C v1.0 that I think you were referencing since you mentioned it coming out in 2008 and holding 12 rounds. That's the 2.0 model.

The 1.0 Compact is basically the same size as a 1.0 Shield, other than the width.

This size comparison is better for length and height, IMHO:

My M&Pc came with a 12 round mag. The M&P Compact 2.0 has 15 round mags. Before the 2.0 there was no Compact.

Will be awesome if it works but I still think it needs a metal mag catch.

Perhaps, and I have problem with that. I’ve put off my 48 purchase, but I’m in when these are GTG.
