Magpie in my yard.
Yes, it is in fact a Magpie eating a pie.

“Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.”
― Theodore Roosevelt
If you haven't been to Dupont State Forest, (about 4 miles as the crow flies from where I live), you should check out the falls there as well. Some of the water scenes from "Last of the Mohicans" were filmed there.
There's nothing civil about this war.
The green ones were what all the old guys (Who carried one, my dad snorted when I asked him why he didn't have one) had when I was a kid. There was a neighborhood "oddball", who was a lawyer who rode the bus to work and he had a green change purse thing and a Mickey Mouse watch. We had two oddballs, the lawyer and "TV Man", a guy who lived with his sister and her husband who sat in his robe and watched TV all night. He was a very happy old guy, and rarely went anywhere, but one day he was on the bus and he had a red one. For some reason, "TV Man", and the "Lawyer" didn't get along at all, and it was the only time I saw "TV Man" even slightly upset. In fact, he was way more than upset, he threatened to butcher and eat "Lawyer" for dinner that night. The bus driver yelled at them and they just sat there glaring at each other as we went along. I asked "TV Man" about it later on, and he said that "Lawyer" was a Nazi, which wasn't true at all, but he seemed to be totally convinced he was.
Here is a bad pic I took of my dog King about June '99. A friend said he appeared to be "challenged".
He looks high to me..
And a bit saner looking, those ears gave away his mood at the moment. He was about to torment his poor littermate Molly for the umpteenth time:
Mt Washington and Mt Jefferson as seen from summit of Mt Adams, NH.
Been there enjoyed the view.
(More than I usually did going up Mt. Washington on Washington's birthday for a few years. )

Today at the shooting range. I was setting my daughter up to shoot prone with bipods and this sucker came running out on the shooting mat. Biggest I have seen in Colorado. 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge for reference.
