I’ll confess, I didn’t take this picture. My wife took it of me while we were assessing trees in the forest as part of her job. I was stepping out of the dark woods on to a newly graveled road.
She titled it “The last we saw of him”. It hangs beside the door and I used look at it every day before going to a job I no longer liked.
Took this picture about a month ago. We’ve been having a lot of big fires out in Ca and I was sitting at my kitchen table drinking coffee wondering why it was still dark outside at 0650. I walked out back and the sky was black. This picture was taken facing west towards lake county.
