Self Defense and the Law Seminar
Date: Sunday, June 3, 2012
Time: 9:00 AM
Location: Salem CT
This two-hour program is presented by Mitchell Lake, Esq. an attorney licensed to practice in the Connecticut and in the Federal District Court of Connecticut. The material is intended for citizens who wish to further understand the legal environment of a use of force incident, including their legal obligations, liabilities and the judicial procedures which can follow the when someone defends themselves or others in the state of Connecticut. Information is power and ignorance of the law is not an excuse in court, so if you are a concealed-carry user or martial artist you are legally and morally obligated to understand the laws of your state concerning self-defense. It can be critical to have a solid foundation of how the law actually views self defense, how the courts and legal system interpret what is reasonable and what is negligent, and it effects you, to make good decisions under the stress of the moment. How a citizen behaves before and after a violent incident will impact many factors having a direct bearing on their legal defense; learn what (and when) your obligations are to answer questions and what to expect during the aftermath of an incident. Attendees will have time after the presentation to ask questions. Cost is $45.00 per person. We strongly encourage you to prepay and preregister as WALK-INS will be charged AN ADDITIONAL $10.00.

Me three!! I finally have a weekend off. I missed the last ones due to work.
I'll look into adding a conference line option.
I would gladly pay for a video conferencing option or a recorded copy after the fact (assuming the cost was reasonable).
