Thread: New S&W Shield?

    New S&W Shield?

I went to the S&W face book page, and saw what looks like a super compact pistol. I don't remember one being in their line up, is this their underwhelming "shield"? It's right under the full size M&P.

Bodyguard .380, it's been out for awhile now.

    I'm betting on a single stack LC9ish M&P.

    It is.
    Single stack M & P "Shield"
Couldnt shoot or strip it but handled it.
Waited for NRA so they could be shipping product when announced.
Caleb will have a piece on it, I think he brought one home.

That slide stop almost looks like it could be a safety/slide stop combo. I really don't see a need for a single stack, but I'm sure many people will love it.

Edit: on second glance it looks like a bodyguard frame.

The gun in the picture underneath the M&P is not the new product from S&W. The gun in this picture is a .380 Bodyguard as has been pointed out by others.

I'm bound by an NDA until April 12th so I can't talk about the new [redacted] but I have shot it and I have to say that it was pretty awesome. S&W did say I can "tease it" whatever the hell that means, so on April 12th at 0900 pacific time, which is when the NDA expires I'm going to be all [redacted] all day long. I can say that I came into the writer's romp not expecting to like [redacted] and left after firing 500ish rounds through it and being fairly impressed.

If it's reliable, I want one!
