Thread: Storing gasoline

    I use this:

    https://seafoamsales.com/product/sea...fuel-additive/

I was told by a Napa Auto employee that they have 55 gal. drum of fuel treated with this, they take a few gallons out every year and give it a try. It's been good for like 20 years or so....

Something like that. Works for me so far. Stabil also works.

I have a five gallon type 1 and a five gallon type 2 with ethanol free gas with Stabil added.

I also have a type 2 one gallon in green for mixed 2 cycle gas. Expensive... but for me, there’s no substitute.

    Regards.
I'll second this. Got fed up with paying $29 for the new eviro weenie compliant plastic pieces of crap that gurgle and spill and spew 20 times more fumes than they are supposed to save. So I ponied up for one of these and it's the best thing since sliced bread. Also looked at "jerry" cans, but if you buy a quality one you are looking at the same or more money than steel safety cans. The VP racing cans would be my second choice.

Why can't we make a simple steel gas can with a metal spout anymore? The safety cans are about as close only much safer.
