Portland OR eatery or entertainment recommendations

I know we have several members in that area. Looking for food and entertainment recommendations. A group of coworkers and I headed there for a meeting in a few weeks and it has been a decade since my last trip. I know nothing current. We are talking the downtown area in general. Thanks for your insights (yes I know we have to step over and avoid the junkies, homeless and other riffraff in downtown).

Boke Bowl for Asian fusion. Two locations. I like the fried oysters.
Mother's Bistro downtown for solid classic American food. Packed for breakfast/brunch, completely under appreciated for dinner.
Bamboo Sushi in NE for the Kolbi beef burger. Odd that they'd have any burger at a sushi place, much less one that's off-the-charts good.
Navarre on NE 28th. You can throw a dart at the menu and be just fine. Expensive, though.
Elephants Deli on NW 22nd. Same throw-a-dart level of goodness as Navarre, but a deli, and much less expensive.
Pine State Biscuit, multiple locations. You'll want to strangle the hipsters but the chow is good.
Clyde Common in the Pearl District, which isn't far from downtown. Menu varies but is always good. Horrible acoustics.
Papa Haydn in NW for dessert.
Basilisk on NE 27th for chicken. Super casual.

Not sure what you like to drink, but Oregon pinot noirs and big-bodied reds have earned a superb reputation and the better restaurants all have them.

Also, there's no sales tax in Oregon, so you might consider making any upcoming big-ticket purchases there (laptops, expensive clothes, etc.).

Ok. I've got this. My wife and I live in Portland and are total foodies.

Breakfast: Besaw’s (Slabtown). Also check out their bar, the Solo Club after dinner.

    Lunch:
    Kenny & Zukes Deli
    Porque No

Dinner: So many options... here are some of our recent favorites

Q (try the osso bucco). http://q-portland.com
Trifecta Tavern (try the pork shank, crab pasta, or the burger--best one in Portland). Great place for cocktails and dessert http://trifectapdx.com
    Urban Farmer
    Imperial
Ox (steaks to die for, but there will be a long wait)

Or if you want to try some cheap hipster food:
Luc Lac (huge line around the block for happy hour food)
Bollywood Theater (not actually a theater)

    Dessert:
    Imperial
Rimsky Korsakoffee (occult/haunted house themed dessert place. You must see the bathroom upstairs on the left. There is a surprise in there that once made one member of our group pee her pants.) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rimsky-Korsakoffee_House Unfortunately there is a homeless encampment nearby, so watch your 6 and consider using Lyft to get there and back.
Salt & Straw Ice Cream (long lines)
    Ruby Jewel Ice Cream

    Bars:
Tope (rooftop bar in a new fancy hotel, but in a bad neighborhood. Worth it though). https://thehoxton.com/oregon/portlan...-and-bars/tope
Departure (rooftop bar in a new fancy hotel) https://departureportland.com
    McMenamin's Kennedy School https://www.mcmenamins.com/kennedy-school

    Music venues:
    https://www.revolutionhall.com
    Roseland Theater
    https://www.crystalballroompdx.com
    https://www.aladdin-theater.com

My comments on what's been suggested so far in this thread:

Boke Bowl: Yes! Great spot for lunch.

Bamboo Sushi: Good choice, but you pay a premium for "sustainable" sushi, and their menu is limited. Yama Sushi is better, although still spendy.

Voodoo Doughnuts: way overrated. Mediocre doughnuts with some funky stuff on top. If you want to be involved in a shooting or stabbing, head over to the vicinity of Voodoo Doughnuts around 11pm to 2am on Fri or Sat night. But, if you want good doughnuts, go to Blue Star.

Deschutes is a solid choice for really good pub food. You can do better, IMO. Check out Cascade for some sour beer, or West Coast Grocery (not actually a grocery), or Breakside in the very hip and clean Slabtown neighborhood.

Salty's on Marine Drive? Pass, unless you want Red Lobster type food and need to pick up some meth in Delta Park or Camas.
