This guy ruined a lot of lives, but thankfully was found out and some of those people are getting records cleared. However this will be used to further fan the flames of bias against the police.

Nobody hates crooked cops more than honest cops. I've been part of getting one sleaze fired and another a seven year Federal stretch. Here's hoping this clown gets a long sentence and has to serve it in gen pop.

It is a shame. We have a good Sheriff and a bunch of good deputies and investigators.
Can't wrap my head around the idea of planting dope when you can drive around for 10 mins in the right areas and find a PCS case.
I hope the SA nails him to the wall. Good luck in DOC, motherfucker.

Beware of my temper, and the dog that I've found...
Yeah, fuck that guy for making us all look bad.
I hate seeing an officer fired for making a mistake. But this is no mistake. He knew what he was doing.
Side note:
I got one local deputy jammed up and forced to resign. We had a warrant for a guy, who turned out to be living with a deputy. She hid him and refused to open the door after we ID'ed ourselves. That got IA up her ass, and she resigned rather than face the investigation.
Second side note:
Working County jail one night, IA comes in and escorts a female booking deputy out of the building. About 5 minutes later, they bring her husband in, in uniform, in handcuffs. He had arrested a guy, searched him, and found two kilos... he let the guy go, and took the dope. Long story short, that guy was an undercover FED. His cover team saw the local LEO move in and they just stood by not knowing what was going on. They followed the cop back to the station and filmed him as he put the dope into his personal car. Then they arrested him. He plead to 5 years. Wife was fired after they started looking into her bank account. He definitely needed to go. I liked working with his wife, but apparently they were spending WAY more than two deputies earn. She had to know something was going on.

It is good that this guy is gone, hopefully the people he victimized will get their records cleared and maybe even some compensation for the problems he caused them.
This is way out of my lane but I can't help but wonder: what about the supervisors, prosecutors, judges, etc. who were involved in these cases? Did it not occur to any of them that something was amiss? Were the other officers working similar assignments bringing this many drug charges? It seems odd that it could go on to the degree it did without somebody at least checking into what was going on.
