Don’t blame me. I didn’t vote for that dumb bastard.

In all seriousness, it is common for a storm to weaken, head out to sea, strengthen, and then turn back like a vindictive ex-girlfriend...

The notion of a McLaren losing a top speed race with a hurricane’s wind scares me.

Which is why they keep telling people NOT to go outside when the eye wall passes their location...

At 1mph there probably is no “good side” of the track to be on — — it’ll just sit on top of you and pound you.

...EYE OF DORIAN WOBBLING OVER GRAND BAHAMA ISLAND...

This is a life-threatening situation. Residents on Grand Bahama
Island should not leave their shelter when the eye passes over, as
winds will rapidly increase on the other side of the eye. Residents
in the Abacos should continue to stay in their shelter until
    conditions subside later today.

    Hazards:
    - Wind Gusts to 200 mph
    - Storm Surge 18 to 23 feet above normal tide levels with higher
    destructive waves

These hazards will continue over Grand Bahama Island during most of
the day, causing extreme destruction on the island.

Governor of Georgia has issued evacuation orders for the counties east of I95 (the coastal counties). My daughter is headed up to our place NW of Atlanta. God Speed to my GAARNG team and other Responders.

If you need to evacuate - go early and make sure you have full tank of gas. On a previous major storm, took me 13 hours to go from Savannah to Macon GA as I had to close down a plant before I could leave.

PS. Born and raised in Savannah GA - dealt with hurricanes and such all my life - never living on the coast again.

You can come up here to RI. Coastal benefits but not much threat from hurricanes. Downside is that winter thing.

Everyone along the SE coast needs to pay attention to this storm!
