Looks like the rumor of STIs fitting in the M&P/P320 holsters is correct.

I decided I wasn't going to be poor any more so I picked up a Staccato P Duo today. I mounted up a DPP as I didn't want the optic to sit so high. I found out however that the Sig P320 ALS holster I have ( marked with part number 6392RDS-4502-131) does not fit the Staccato. In looking back at the video I posted the part number listed was 8192. It seems like everywhere is sold out of these. Safariland website says 60 days, but they said that last time and it took nearly 7 months.
As for the gun, wholly shit. It is probably the smoothest 1911 I have ever racked. The trigger feels light, but I don't have a gauge to measure it. The grip feels nice, but when I take a high thumbs/ride the safety grip it really bites into the web of my hand. I did not notice this looking at it in the store. There are also some sharp edges on the mainspring housing. I might swap it out for a different grip module depending on how it goes shooting it.
Coonfingering a Stacatto at the LGS, I would like more dehorning around the beaver tail and thumb safeties. With my high grip, especially on the right side thumb safety, I felt sharpness.
I am hoping that Safariland introduces a website that actually works by SHOT 2021. Today, using their “holster finder,” which is really a holster non finder, I searched for Glock 17 with an optic and Surefire light, and the result said no holster available for this configuration. Maybe by 2022, they will have some holsters in stock that people actually want.
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.
Their website blows. I actually found they having a part number for the staccato P while searching on copquest today. The old style is part number 582(4.10 barrel) while the new 4.4 barrel is 1582. I haven't seen these listed on any other site, so not sure when they will actually be shipping, but its good to know they have their own holsters now.
For safariland, you have to use their “will fit” charts. The website is about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Here is the one for optics: https://www.safariland.com/on/demand...%20Pistols.pdf
Patientzero has the Safariland STI holster part numbers on his Instagram, I think there’s three pages:

I have a Blackpoint Tactical OWB and Tier 1 Tactical duty type rig inbound. My 2020 Staccato P should be in my hands very soon.

Yeah, that’s how it starts.
“Hey favorite pistolsmith. I bought this cool 1911/STI/etc and I really like it, but it just needs a bit of (fill in the blanks here). Can you hook me up?” “Sure favorite customer. Hey while we are doing that, have you considered . . .”
Two months and $x,xxx later: “Gosh, This is perfect! Now I need a spare and a (this) and a (that).”
It took me several years in rehab to get over that addiction. Or maybe the addiction transferred to other guns and hobbies, I’m not sure. But I’m clean now. Yep, completely cured. 100%.
Not.
