I have pondered about what is the appeal of the STI guns in general besides the heavy social media push.

Not a negative against STI but I figured it was more geared toward a lower cost entry level 2011.

It seems if someone is going to be paying 2-3 grand for one why not just go full on custom build especially if one is having to send it out to a accomplished smith to address certain areas.

Actually, I sent the STI to Ed Cameron. He texted me today to say he got it done and it will be headed back to me next week.
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.

Now you know better than to ask about turn around time with a high quality 1911/2011 guy.,

I asked him to tune the grip safety, fit a strong side thumb safety, improve the trigger, and generally go over it.

Haha, I would add +/- 4 years to any estimate given [emoji16].

Excited to hear your thoughts when you get it in.

400 rounds down range... it is definitely like cheating. Ran everything I put through it, including 95s, 125gr HAPs, 125gr Moly, 135gr Xtremes and 135gr Critical Duty. Got the sight adjusted and man does this thing burn ammo quickly.
