Thread: Teach me about STI guns

Has anyone removed the front sight from a Staccato P Duo? Ive tried heating it up, the aluminum and brass punches. I can't seem to get it to move at all.

Any help would be appreciated. Especially from someone who has done it.

    Thanks

    Nick

I just bought a cheap sight pusher off Amazon for my Staccato C because I was having the same issue.

Safe to assume it worked OK?

Do you have a link to the one you bought?

    Thanks!

Picked up a lightly used Gen 2 P. On ammo rations so only put about 300 down the pipe. My son and his gf shot it and this was her first time ever. No malfunction of any kind for anyone.

Shot this group with my P DUO today @25 yards standing. No bag or rest was used. Pretty happy with it but probably a total fluke. It was only 5 rds. of the one box of 50 I allowed myself to shoot today. Ammo was that STV Scorpion 124gr ball round.

What plate did you use? I went with the CHPWS and had to get the front sight replaced to get a useable backup sight system.

I also went with the CHPWS plate.

    Great company to work with.

I bought the plate and the front sight to match, I still need to install the front sight though.

I got a couple cases of that ammo earlier this year and have found excellent accuracy from it myself.
