The downside is that I find it slower than a tradition speedloader: old-school loaders get “shaken” into place; the zeta requires aiming, since the manipulating tab and round position is fixed. It’s an odd combination of inflexibility with regard to positioning, and unwanted flexibility with regard to the front of the rounds flopping around. That said, the zetas are a great way to carry some spares to deal with reloading administratively. They aren’t fast though, even by LCR standards. FWIW.
Totem, any thoughts on how this might work with say Wadcutters? Not as well, I would imagine?

Actually, yes, I do have some thoughts—given that my LCR currently has BB wadcutters in it. Since the front end of the rounds flop around a little, and have to be coaxed individually to apply the zeta payload anyways, there is less of a penalty for using wadcutters, as opposed to rounder ogive JHP. In short, less of a relative disadvantage to wadcutters as compared to, say, an HKS loader. Think of it as socialism for the kingdom of .38 special ammunition.

I just skimmed the revolverguy article, linked earlier: pretty much all that.

Has anyone noticed a difference in ease of pocket carry of the Zetas, as compared to speed strips? I’m hoping the flexibility of the J-CLIPs would make them feel less bulky in, say, a jeans pocket than a traditional speedloader.

They are noticeably more transparent than, say, a 5-shot HKS loader. And, more bulky than a speed strip. Not much help or new info, but that’s the way my pockets feel about it.

Yeah, that’s pretty much what I figured. Well, for $6 per, definitely willing to give them a try. Just put in an order for the LCR variants, as well as the 6-shots. Worst case, they go in the pile with the rest of the oddball speedloaders.

I keep a drybox in my car FAK with a bunch of loaded speed strips and my 3 hks speedloaders I never use.

I've found that Kohls Sonoma brand Flexwear cargo shorts work well, provided the pocket opening is at least 6". After discovering that some I bought this spring worked and some didn't, I learned to take a tape measure with me.

Tagua is kind of the Uncle Mike's of leather. It'll definitely need break in as they don't allow for shrinkage (Hey, I was in the pool!) and the finish is generally on the lower end. There shouldn't be much in the way of durability concerns, though. Leather holsters very much tend toward you get what you pay for.
Sorta around sometimes for some of your shitty mod needs.
