It's my understanding that the large frame Tanfo magazine can be made to work. Leave the magazine as is, and just get Mec-Gar to make them, or make them yourself. I think it would be far more work to change the casting / machining / whatever, that is already available to make the frame.

I'd base it on the STI format if I was making it.

What pattern mags do the high capacity Caspian frames use?

STI mags are too wide. My F15 Fantom is so slim, and gets 14 + 1.

    1. They don't make them easy to find on their website.
    2. They only have mag bodies available
    3. Said bodies are only available in the FOSTER brand.
    4. Said bodies can only be found by searching "magazine" in the search box at Caspian's website.
    5. They reference mags being designed for Grams Engineering springs and followers.
    6. Grams Eng. website doesn't list a single product for "caspian".

Sounds like an evolutionary dead end to me.

All true. I think the success of the STI and Para have all but killed the Caspian. That doesn't mean Ruger can't bring it back to life.

These are the only option I'm aware of for new complete mags.

The latest and greatest Wilson's magazine is little different from a Walther's.
The last of the Bernardelli 9mm's magazine was an extended Browning.

I don't recall what has to be done to a TZ magazine to use it in a Caspian, but with a fresh start, why change anything?
Just look at all the Glock fed PCCs. Or the Mossberg pistol.
    Code Name: JET STREAM

Caspian killed Caspian, with lack of good source of magazines. When I started, the Caspian was the dominant gun. Even before the AWB, magazines were hard to come by, quality was sketchy and inconsistent, the base plate design made them hard to take apart, and even harder to make extensions for. The AWB was the nail in the coffin.
