I am not aware of any NRA involvement in the suit to force Pittsburgh to honor the state’s pre-emotion law (if someone knows otherwise please correct me). From the standpoint of the merits of the case, it is not a lost cause at all.

Good to know! Details like this make me hope even more that the NRA can be reformed towards financial responsibility and transparency. Just imagine how potent they could be with good fiscal management!

On a personal note, we are planning a move. When we moved last, we got a discount from North American for our NRA membership. So I look on the benefits page and find the NRA was dropped. Bah - there is still the wine club. Who should I blame? That's complex and I won't go there but I am annoyed.

I don't own any blades worth anything near the value of my 4Runner...but in the aggregate...well, let's not go there...

My wife and I did an inventory of our firearms for insurance value. Found out, that in the aggregate, the guns are worth almost as much as our primary residence. A few purchases here, a few there, and pretty soon we are talking real money. Some people are house poor; we are gun poor.
