As I type here, and listen to hysteria of the Mueller hearings, I play with my NRA make in China knife. It's a nice knife with assisted opening and a big glass breaker on the end. Interestingly, when I renewed in that year, the knife was not forthcoming - I had to call for it and demand it. This year, I didn't get my free gift from the labor pits of Mordor (China). Didn't complain though. Got enough hats and knifes, duffles, vests, snow globes.
Don't feel bad, I'm still waiting for a reply to my email sent two years ago.

I haven't received any free gifts from the SAF yet but they use the same scare tactics as the NRA.
Politicians use it also and people focus on it like a laser beam. Seems to work to some degree or they wouldn't do it.
Like Glenn, I find the Chinese knives to be very serviceable. I have one that has a S&W brand on it and the steel is pretty good.
I guess I just don't need a hundred dollar knife or camp axe.
