    Harry's Icon Holster

    So, I had been looking for a good AIWB holster for my 642 and heard a lot of buzz about the Harry's Icon holster. Looked like a very minimalist design so I ordered one (quick ship is awesome!) and got it on Friday. I must say I am quite enamored with the design of this holster. I love the DCC clips and this holster uses the ModW DCC clip. The clip is mounted on a wedge type area that, for me, naturally angles the grip of the revolver into my body and the muzzle of the gun away from my abdomen. This makes it super comfy low profile for me . Don't have any pics of me wearing it but here are some of my 642 in the holster. I'll get some other pics up soon. I'm still in the early phases of trial but so far so good.

    @blues

    I know there are others here with this holster and hopefully they will chime in.

    Thanks, Irelander. Do you own a DSG holster for the 642? If so, can you offer any comments in comparison?

    I do not own the DSG jframe holster. I was contemplating it but I don't need the extra length and wanted a DCC clip.

    Here is a pic showing where the DCC clip attaches.

    Thanks for the images and detailed narrative. I may try one of these, even though my true wish is for such a holster that will accommodate an SP101. I really like that it is ambidextrous!

    I have the DSG holster. It is great, but wanted something smaller/ more minimalist for summer carry or around the house. Got the Icon a couple of weeks ago, and really like it. Moving the clip to the canted position makes it work even better AIWB for me.

    I’ll probably grab another with the discount coupon and keep it set up left handed.

    I have been thinking of doing this as well. This should take care of any reverse cant from using a 1.75" clip on a 1.5" belt.
