Just heard Skyler howling holy hell out on the deck and sure enough the bear was out back, bounding down the hill toward the creek behind our home. He clearly wasn't in the mood to hang around and listen to her wrath.
At a guess, I'd put him around 125 lbs or so. Hard to judge so quickly. Handsome devil. I'll be watching for him later tonight.

Even a little bear is nothing to mess with. A 125 lb. bear is seriously strong and quick if they desire to use it.
Watching a black bear race up a tree like a gamma-rayed squirrel is still something I marvel about. Fast twitch muscle in spades.
