It is easy to drill all the way through Just remove the pin. The pin does nothing to align or secure the Taurus grips..

Once you ordered did Taurus send you any shipping info or did they just show up?
They just showed up. No notifications or receipt or anything. It was a total surprise when they came in. Probably 4 days from when I ordered them to when they arrived.

I did exactly this. The roll pin is in the baggie with the Pachmayr grips I took off of my 638.

Nope not needed. But as others have mentioned, it's not a big deal to drill new holes in the grips. It's $10.

Finally got the 442 out to the range today with these new grips. I’m absolutely staggered as to how much more pleasurable and controllable this J-frame is to shoot over the Altamont wood grips I had on it before. I’m actually looking forward to practicing with it again quite a bit now. Might have to go bust out some Claude Werner drills and get to work.

I shot my 642 with Taurus grips last night. I found them odd. I will certainly need to practice with them. After having uncle mikes boots in my j frames for years these were awkward. I had a hard time shooting from the draw. I'm sure I I'll just take time.
