Farmer is also good if you want a smoother tread sole.
Normally I wear 14D, 13D is perfect with pleanty of toe room.
My feet are messed up and these with my orthotics work better than anything I have had, including Danner, Asolo, Vasque, Scarpa Mephisto, Rocky, Merril etc....
Not cheap, not light, but my feet, ankles and knees do not hurt. Will take some break in time. With Whites leather paste NOT oil waterproof for all intents and purposes.
I still have 20 + year old Whites Smokejumpers and Farmer boots that are still comfortable.
I bought 3 new pair Smokejumpers since covid, still the same quality. I use the old ones for nasty work and wear the newer ones for daily wear.
This little J frame airweight really has grown on me.

I guess we couldn't have made it anyways. I had left for work and both kids were napping.
Forgot to include the spray and belt knife. My pocket hankie is also a crumpled mess so didn't bother.
