It probably doesn't have a light or magnets or weigh 50 ounces. It may be a Taurus 85 or a Judge. It had 50 rounds fired through it once at the square range or a rock at the 'ranch'. It is full of FMJ.

Funeral day so lost the speedloader and BUG which wouldn't fit in my trouser pockets, anyway. Very blustery out so didn't bother with spray. Not pictured: pocket bandana (much used), lighter, flashlight.
Didn't check to see if another guest had his usual 44 Special or made it a 1911 day.
Operation "Bob's-Yer-Uncle" was a rousing success.
Took it to a close-by indoor range and it cracked every primer- Remington, CCI, Federal, Winchester. Now I just need another year of dry-fire, and a half-case of 148 grain wadcutter cartridges...

Thanks! My grandfather would probably shake his head 30 years on at me carrying his old belly gun, but it's the right tool for the job.
My kids never knew him, but my grandkids know me.
Right now, eldest granddaughter is the most likely recipient of "this elegant weapon for a more... civilized age".
