Interesting, I snagged a Larue barrel a while back, and eventually built it up as a semi-precision carbine with a LPVO.

I've thought about getting one of those VOX cans for it, and have been debating an adjustable gas block. I think I'll order one of these and give it a try. I'm planning on this being a very soft-shooting rifle for my granddaughter next year when she turns nine. She already runs a .22 like a boss.

Genuinely curious here what the appeal is.

I see the BRT gas tube as a much simpler, less expensive, and more reliable option tto deal with an overgassed carbine.

    What am I missing?

    How adjustable is the BRT?

Adjustable on the fly? It isn’t. But not moving parts, and not reliant on set screws...I dunno.

The BRT gas tube is probably the simplest option, and the ‘adjustable’ gas port from them is probably the next best in terms of simplicity.

I need to be able to adjust an AGB easily at the range.

    Why?

Once set up for a particular load...especially if you’re handloading....??

Because you have to tune on the fly, because you might have to add or remove a can, because you change loads, because your ammo power changed from lot to lot, many reasons.

Not very bright but does lack ambition
It’s been a few years since I last built an AR, but I thought back then that Strike Industries stuff was crap. Has that changed?
