    Rainier Ballistics Closed Down

I was not aware of this, tripped over it on IG or FB or someplace, looks official:

I have loaded a bunch of their 155g .40 bullets. But since switching to 9mm (mostly) and finding https://www.evergladesammo.com/ not so many.

Midway USA has been running closeout sales. Now I know why.

I've used Rainier a few times. Now, for plated stuff, I usually use Berry's. I've been quite pleased with the 9mm 135gr flat point.

I imagine the success and proliferation of coated bullets has cut into the plated bullet market quite a bit. For the money, I buy jacketed over plated currently anyway. Berrys worked well for me, but they are basically charging jacketed bullet prices anymore.

Quite right. RMR sells some pretty nice jacketed bullets for similar money.

Pretty much this. Just bought 1000 rounds of 230 grain. 45 FMJ for the same price plated.

I've been using jacketed bullets from Rocky Mountain Reloading for a couple of years with complete satisfaction. They have truncated cone 9mm bullets in 115, 124 and 147 that are priced competitively and shoot well.

I’ve had bad luck with soft lead in plated bullets and some coated bullets. I’ve settled on Bluebullets, and have shot enough to make two usps workers hate me.

    Thanks for the head's up.

I just ordered 1000 of their 148 gr plated .38 wadcutters, with free shipping. I had these along with some .32 S&W longs on my "Black Friday list". I just went ahead and bundled it up to get that Midway free shipping code to work.

Man this sucks, I have reloaded thousands of their plated hp in 9mm, 40 and 10mm. Never had an issue with them.
