I am still recovering from the Braves meltdown. There never should have been a game 5 as the Braves threw games 1 and 4 away. I was in Detroit for business, and the day ended just in time for me to see a score of 9-0 in the top of the first. That was not a good start to the end of my workday. I texted my wife and she wrote, "9 runs in the first. Damn." The rest of the game was the famed slow-moving train wreck.
My son, a devout Yankees fan, is having a meltdown!
I'm somewhat indifferent, but I'd like to see the Bombers in the WS. Problem is, the Yankees 1) Don't seem to know. or remember, how to work the Astros pitching, they jump on too many first pitches for outs; 2) The Yankees are seeming to rely on the long ball for wins (and are unfortunately not hitting the long ball right now). How about playing some small ball and hitting an RBI please...!
And, let's go Nats! Give the Cards a break and stretch out the series please...
