There has been a belief that with so many powerful position players now being added to the Yankees' lineup, perhaps Frazier will become an important piece for New York to dangle in trade talks. He had been assured in past years that despite the previous rampant speculation about his role with the organization, he wasn't on the trading block.

But now, with the Yankees in such desperate need of starting pitching, that might not be the case.

Well, it only makes sense. Truthfully, I'd be willing to deal one or two of the "bigger" names if the right deal was out there and someone was willing to pick up the exorbitant contract. (Unlikely.)

I'd hate dealing our younger talent, not just due to the money, but because of their promise and the excitement they bring.

One thing I'll say, D.J. LeMahieu was a tremendous pickup. Love that guy.

Maybe the Cardinals can take a page from the Blues playbook, drop to dead last, and storm back to win it all with off-season acquisition Goldschmidt as the WS MVP.

I think the plan is to just gun for the weak Central and bank on CPS (Cardinals Postseason Shenanigans). Ah, we just need the wild card, postseason’s a crap shoot.

Well I gotta say. Pujols got the welcome he deserved coming back to Busch Stadium. 3 days of standing ovations.

- who is this Alonso guy for the Mets?
- did you see Mazaro hit a ball 505’? And it wasn’t even in Coors Field. Damn that’s a long way to hit a baseball.
