Today I wanted to have a cold warmup that was in line to my task for the day. I wanted to finish the day with the 99 drill, after I did a few warmup exercises so I came up with this quick cold drill, a bit of a confluence of the 99 drill and 5 yard roundup. Strings and pars are from the 99 drill but with the target and scoring of the 5 yard roundup.
Target - b8 repair center
Distance - 7, 7(1r2), 10, 15
Strings - 4
Total rounds fired - 12
Scoring - Total score by the rings, minus 5 per overtime shot.
Points possible - 120.
String 1 - draw and fire three rounds to the b8 repair center in 2.5 seconds @ 7 yards
String 2 - draw and fire one round to the b8 repair center, perform a slidelock reload, then fire two rounds to the b8 repair center in 5 seconds @ 7 yards
String 3 - draw and fire three rounds to the b8 repair center in 3.5 seconds @ 10 yards
String 4 - draw and fire three rounds to the b8 repair center in 5 seconds @ 15 yards
Add up all your hits and subtract 5 for each overtime shot. So if you scored 109 points but had 2 overtime your final score would be 99. It's something that you can track over time and as you make the pars, simply keep pushing until you shoot 10's under par each time.
