That little number is probably the best thing that could have happened to me at this point in my development as a shooter.

I took Gabe's class this weekend. Going in I knew I had a legit shot at a Turbo Pin. Saturday I just didn't put it all together and missed a couple runs by really close margins. .08 and .01 on a two of them. Today I shot three turbos but threw a shot out of the A on the fourth. I ended with three turbos and five strong light runs.

In the end I recognize that while a Turbo Pin is what I wanted, coming as close as possible to that and failing is what I needed. I don't want to squeak by a benchmark and feel like maybe I got lucky. Or worse, squeak by and then slack off because of it. I want to crush it and know that I own it. Among other things I'm going to dedicate myself to dry practice again because I've barely done any this year. And when I see him next year I will own that shit.
