My rmr 2 06 lasted 1 1/2 years. It still worked when I changed it. Never turned it off. I set mine manually when I leave and about 3-4 clicks from the brightest usually.
Battery was a Sony. Replaced with Duracell.

I swap mine out every six months, Christmas and July 4. Never had one go out, but it's cheap insurance. I have no doubt they'd go over a year. And, I reuse those batteries in my Millett DMS-2 scope.
So I presume you all are using your type 1s in auto adjust mode?

I have a type 1 RMR 06, just swapped out the battery at 1.5 years, and it was still operational. I’ve had the RMR HRS for 3 months now, so don’t know about it yet. Both the Type 1 and Type 2 are left in “auto”.
3 RM06 type 1's all bought within six months of each other. First one went out almost 1 year to the week. I changed out the other two batteries soon after just to feel better. I keep mine set pretty bright.
No I just leave it at about the middle setting. I may crank it up on a bright sunny range day. But I turn it back down when I remember to, which may be a couple days later.Originally Posted by YVK

I usually get about 14-18 months from my rmr. I don't recall the model, but is non-adjustable
