    Lots of factory production 1911s suffer this problem.

    That's mainly been with the bare stainless guns.

    They also quit supplying the lube a few years ago.

    I agree, the cases I've read about have been with the bare stainless guns and galling. I don't know if that has been addressed by DW or if they still rely on the user following the break-in procedure.
