I’d look for poultry shears, she can also use them to break down whole chickens from the store, good kitchen item.

I’d say skip the gloves but one of our friends most likely got salmonella from a cut on her hands during butchering.

Good for her, we grew and butchered to expand ourselves. It was a neat process.
