Glad I had already finished the last of my beer before reading this. (I hate to waste a good brew.)

Yep, just as soon as Congress opens impeachment proceedings and shows the necessary probable cause. You see, that is how it works in our country, the government must show probable cause to go digging through private entities. Congresscritters don’t get to subpoena the business records of their political opponents or their private organizations as routine oversight with no legislative purpose. This is not China.

Don’t fret - the necessary probable cause should be pretty easy to get since the Trump Organization has been under IRS audit for more than a decade and we just wrapped up $30M DOJ investigation. Surely, Cohen as some evidence of this money laundering that you think happened, right?

It’s over now, Drumpf is finished

Because these top notch Congress people (might I remind you that we have twin guns of integrity and intelligence with Adam Schiff and Maxine Waters leading this charge!) are going to accomplish what Mueller couldn’t accomplish with 40 FBI agents, unlimited wire tapping powers, and $35 million dollars.

Was it Stalin that said, "If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear" or the National Socialists in the 30's? I know it was mentioned in Harry Potter and by the Head of NZ intelligence services.

Really? That's definitely not something I would do. I wouldn't willfully turn over so much as a bubblegum wrapper to congress, police, or anyone else government related. I mean really, if I knew that an individual or group were trying their best to take me down, why in the world would I cooperate in that? In a political scenario even were there nothing nefarious there, the spin doctors would be working full time claiming there was.

But what a great way to do 'discovery' if your Daddy was a Congressman and you were a California lawyer whose firm was suing a President.

It's my understanding that in any scenario, political or otherwise, the burden of proof is on the accuser. Even if someone wanted to take me down they're going to have to produce some evidence of criminal activity. If there is none why wouldn't I want to produce any documents to substantiate that. What better defense is there? The first thing that you definitely don't want to do is lie under oath or to someone during an investigation. Flynn, Manfort and Cohen found that out the hard way.

Even in politics full disclosure is the best policy. Lots of people hated the Clintons, probably more than Trump because they have been in politics forever. Hillary released her tax returns and so did every president in modern time. Why, because people aren't going to trust you if you don't. What it says is I've paid my taxes and financially I have nothing to hide. If you don't you have investigations and people with a lot more time and money than the FBI trying to figure out why you aren't financially transparent. They'll even steal or pay large sums of money to people who have that information. The information isn't even secure when the treasury dept has it as was demonstrated with Cohens bank records.

Now we're down to a court decision on weather or not congress can subpoena Trump's banking records and tax returns. What happens if the court says they can? Everyone associated with Trumps business better hope that everything was done legally. If it wasn't Trump stands to lose big time also because everyone will know why he never released his tax returns to begin with.

Honesty always is the best policy.
