Does anyone want to discuss the pros and cons of the Acc-U-Rail mod?

    I can pee outside.
Successfully replaced and fit a Wilson comp trigger into my Tisas.
Took my time, and for the length of my fingers, the short trigger is awesome.
No trigger scale, but I'd say it's about 4lbs, zero creep, and silky, smooth.
    62? or 65?

One might be more compatible with your pistol's extractor.
It is mixed between mags. Not associated with a certain round number either. I have a new spring in it from Sig, was at the range today and had another failure to close with the Magtech. I went through 3 boxes of RWS ammo with no issues. Its got to be something about that round and my gun.

One big negative is the pistol is much more sensitive to firing debris and will require more frequent cleaning.

I went a different direction and used a Travis Strahan pistol which provided very consistent lockup. That system was called the Accu-Lock and forced the slide and barrel into the exact same position. Unfortunately Mr. Strahan has passed, and I do not believe anyone now offers the Ascu-Lock system,

Thanks. It is sometimes hard a peruse these especially long threads via Tapatalk.

I'd think something like the AUR may be beneficial on an aluminum frame gun since it would replace the steel to aluminum contact with steel to steel contact.

A bit of an update on Accu-Rails. I have a lot more experience with them on multiple pistols and have been pleased with the performance. just need to be VERY careful when removing them for cleaning as they can be bent. My carry pistol for the last two-plus years has a set of Accu-Rails. There have been no issues once I learned how to (and more importantly how not to) handle the rails.

Are the rails not swaged or otherwise pinned into the slide? Do they actually come out of the frame once the slide is off?

The rails fit into holes in the frame and are removable for cleaning or replacement. Not my pictures, but they show how they are mounted to the frame.

    Trigger fit

1911 ignoramus here: Can a 10-8 Performance flat trigger be fit to the pistol so as not to have any up-and-down play? The stock trigger in my MAC JSOC has a lot of vertical wiggle, and I’d like to know if fitting a new trigger (specifically the 10-8) usually solves that.
