I use Tripp 10mm mags. I have 9rd, 10rd, and the 10rd / Box fit. The ladder are the best for game, as they can be used in Single Stack division... and of course get 10 rounds.

this toy 1911 is exactly as reliable as the real thing.

I don’t know how they’ve managed it out of a toy but so far I have had every type of Malfunction common to this platform

    Sensitive to OAL of Cartridge
    Double feeds
    Nose diving rounds
    Sticky mags.

    It’s amazing!

You just need to tune the extractor. And the magazines. And the recoil and mainsprings. If that doesn’t work send it back to the factory.

It’s like they took a clapped out national match gun, old mags and springs marked for destruction out of the cage and perfectly reverse engineered it.

If the kung flu was this well engineered we’d have all died back in March

Serous though. I did trim the cases, stretch the mag spring and tighten the frame screws....because reasons

My son said “it shoots more now”

    Job done.

Did he remove the special oil the builder says is in the there before the mandated 500 round break in was done?

Which semi-custom house built it? Did you have to pay at least $3K for it, with a guaranteed investment value of $1.5K? And did some ex-SF guy endorse it, with the added cachet of adding some operationally unecessary bling to it?

Oh wait-that's the Joint Services Tier One Rainbow model, a limited special edition-how foolish of me for not immediately recognizing...I must have been distracted while trimmming my operator beard...

    Best, Jon

Thanks, I finally got a chance to listen to this again. It solidified my feeling that I’m most comfortable in the ~$1500 range.

I was thinking about your search for your next pistol. Before this ammo/firearm shortage and price inflation, $1500 would have bought more gun just a few months ago.
