I bought the reduced pretravel version since the marketing on Shadow’s website says they reduced take up over the stock trigger.

According to the Shadow Systems website the MR918 is out of production. Not surprising with the announcement of the 920.
920 pistols don't appear to be shipping yet. At least not in large numbers.

Just curious what is the appeal to these non-Glock glocks?
Don’t really get it?
Can’t speak for other non-Glock Glocks, but as for this one, it polishes the rough edges of a Glock 19 by incorporating a lot of the common things some people wish a Glock 19 had, or that they might want to do to a Glock 19, at a very reasonable cost.
Good texture on the grips so no need for stippling or Talon Grips.
Nice undercuts on the trigger guard, so no need to send it out for frame work or DIY futzing with that.
Backstraps that allow you to alter the grip angle from 1911-ish to M&P-ish to Glock-ish, so no need to send out for frame work if you don’t care for the Glock grip angle.
Nice beavertail - enough but not overdone - incorporated into the frame.
Really excellent night sights.
Available with RMR cut for about $50 more, and on the new model it’s cut for pretty much all of the common optics.
Easy to install mag well if that’s your thing.
Really grippy front and rear serrations although that’s probably more of a cosmetic thing.
