I know several shooters here have Reichard-ized guns, so I figured this was the best section to post in. Denny Reichard, founder of Sand Burr Gun Ranch, passed away early this morning. He did 36 years as a career cop, most as detective, and went full time revolversmithing after retirement. In his competition days, he was famous for winning the Indiana State Action Shooting Championship shooting his duty S&W Model 29 against tricked out target .38s and comped 1911s. Nobody did a better S&W street action tune. His daughter Ashley Gibbons will continue to run the gun shop and shooting park in Rochester, Indiana with her husband Austin. They give great revolver courses; I know BBI and others here have been to their training. A celebration of Denny's life will be scheduled later this year. He was a great man, a great cop, and a great shooter, and he will be missed.
