    NEW 44 SPL LSWCHP BULLET

Two weeks ago I was shopping for a light for weight lead bullet for a 44 Spl load I was working on and found a new one at RimRock Bullets in Montana. This is a 180 lead semiwadcutter hollow point design that is a plain base bullet. Have been working with this some as weather ( a blizzard) has hit us here last week and not much range time. Informal accuracy tests (plinking) tends to indicate a nice accurate load. More to follow as the tests go forward. I'm using this in a Smith Model 69 2.75" and driving it at or near 1,000 fps. Testing to be formal soon. Should be a great bullet for the Charter Arms, Smith 296, 396 crowd.

What’s the BHN? Will it expand at 1,000 fps?

Following. Interested to see how it performs. I have used a 240gr RNHP that has performed well. That particular bullet is from Matt’s.
Working diligently to enlarge my group size.

Thats the same as clip on wheel weights, which are generally considered too hard for expansion at handgun velocities.

I’d be suspicious of whether it expands at 1,000 fps..

Anyway, I cast WFNs or WCs and don’t worry about expansion.

That looks like the bullet BB uses in their .44 mag Anti-Personnel load but they drive it considerably faster than 1000fps.

I agree that bullet at 12 "shouldn't" expand when launched at 1000.
