Thanks. I’ll take a look over there. Much prefer new though for a few reasons.

I like the script, but not the logo. guess we're not related after all. That and the AK thing

True statement here, Rob was taught and had been around some of the best gunsmiths around. I have/had Colts, Springfield’s Dan Wesson and I love them all, in there own way. My Dan Wesson, for the money of “semi-custom” is, to me the best bang for the buck, it is very accurate and very reliable.

My father in law has a Colt Competition that is dead nuts accurate, more accurate than my XSE. My Range officer I really like but really like what I’m seeing with the new RO Elites. Lots of good information in this thread buy my next 1911 will be the Alchemy Prime.

Font is too bold, deep, and long for the blued and walnut classic look, IMO. And you're already coming around on the AK.

Agree. Only thing I don’t like on it. Too art deco.

    Blew thru the edit window

It can be had w/o the script on the slide....

One of the head scratchers left is the magwell. Opinions?

    Crown or flush cut?

I think the HRT cut slide stop is nixed unless someone can sell me on it... seems superfluous..

If this is a shooter and will be used in competition... magwell is a must.

I am a simple person and somewhat of a tightwad. I prefer traditional look and don’t want to pay for trimmed muzzle or slide stop pin. My 2 cents.

Dan Wesson may be a good bang for the buck, but my two samples annoying throw brass to 1-2 o'clock. They also have unusually sharp thumb safeties. Might not be a big deal, but both of those things annoy me.
