    Stippling PPE?

I'm about to undertake my first stippling project on my Glock 45. I've been practicing on A2 grips, and the fumes are no joke. Besides ventilation, what is the propper mask to wear? Is a N95 mask adequate? I know there are quite a few pros here and would appreciate the guidance.

I just did mine under a ceiling fan in the kitchen and had the stove exhaust going. If you aren’t doing it for a living probably not a health concern.

    Waaaay out west.
I had a fan blow the fumes away from me in a large open room.

Do you really need a "pro" to tell you what common sense should? Open the damn windows and put fan to blow the fumes away. That'll be $200 for my engineering fee.

I trust experience over common sense when it comes to chemicals I don't fully understand. To each their own.

I do my stippling on the front porch, facing so that the breeze carries the fumes away from me. Like Glockman said I wouldn't worry about health concerns from one stippling job.

I'm looking at an N95 mask now. It's commonly called a "dust mask." You're not worried about dust. If you think you're going to breathe the products of melting plastic, you should have a chemical respirator.

For tasks that require it, I use this in the size that works for me: https://www.amazon.com/3M-Personal-P...dp/B00IF7RBS4/

For stippling, I would try the avoidance angle, by working outdoors or with windows open with a fan blowing across the piece just enough to keep the fumes from rising up to your face. Or an exhaust fan in an adjacent window, or under a fume hood, etc.

Since I caused such a commotion, I feel obligated to post the results.
