I'm not sure that belt is going to accomplish what you're looking for. While it is a single layer belt it is still 1/4" thick.

Our ultimate thickness gun belts are 14 oz. Which is approximately 1/4" thick, but with natural hides some are slightly thinner or thicker.

Columbia (the sportswear manufacturer) actually makes a decent 1.5" leather belt, which appears to be single-ply, but sufficiently thick to support a firearm and spare magazine(s). Kramer also makes a single-ply horsehide which is thin, but I only use it for polymer-framed pistols and 1 spare magazine. Mine has held up well for 20+ years.

I wish I could see a picture of the mahogany. Whole thing that's driving this is wanting a lighter brown than the belts I have now so the color kind of matters.

Tanner Goods and Orion Leather are my go to's. Filson is a good choice too. All of the linked belts are a satisfactory thickness for IWB and AIWB without being too thick or stiff.
    Think for yourself. Question authority.

Yep, that one; the Mahogany is fairly dark, though; you might want to call to see if they can make you one in Tan.
