At least he’s wearing a vest and they’re shooting pistols. Two marks better then the Tactical Response photographer who was behind the line during a rifle “class”.

Large battery-powered RC car chassis, mount a light plastic target frame with a paper "no shoot" target. Or rig up a clothesline pulley.

Presumably the range owner, or the owner's lawyer, has no idea that this is going on.

I thought they only did this in Russia.

    Holy crap.

All it would take is for someone's brain to fog for a split second and target the instructor, and they would find out just how effective that vest is.

I mean, aside from just the basic safety principle involved, how does he know every single person in that class is 100% zoned in for the day?

    OK, that was stupid.

What was the point? The trainer acted like the little tin duck that changes direction abruptly in the "shooting galleries" they used to have at regional fairs and carnivals many years ago.

I suppose it was an *ahem* "advanced" class?

What was the point indeed? The damage done by teaching them to ignore basic safety principles was far greater than anything learned by not shooting the "instructor".

His Atari broke and he had to get his Frogger fix for the day. My only guess.

    I don't see the problem.
