JM Custom Kydex AIWB - Wing Claw 2.0. I am thinking of ordering a SME because I keep reading about how comfortable they are.

Or a Milt Sparks summer special

Sparks VM2 for IWB. I've found the VM2 more stable than the Summer Special for all-steel pistols.
5 Shot SME for AIWB.

Exodus Gunleather. Holds a full size steel gun very comfortably and you more-or-less forget you're carrying a lightweight commander size gun.

I like the CCC Gesalt for my Colt Commander, usually carried IWB at around 3:00.

When I carried a 1911, I used the Sparks HR-LTD, VM-2, and Criterion holsters. I retrofitted the VM-2 with the Sparks rare earth magnetic self-closing loops as the loops are both easier to use and more resistant to unwanted opening.
Do you guys prefer ambi safeties?
I just installed the Ed Brown safety fitted by SACs on my loaded. First time I used it and I like it. It feels like it doesn't go all the way off but it hasn't not fired.
Personally I do not prefer an ambi-safety on a 1911. I found the ambi wasn't a great fit for my grip and would prove irritating over a long range session. I've practiced disengaging the safety in a support hand only scenario, and it is surely slower, but I'm comfortable with the trade-off.
