I recently bought the Ahrends Tactical in Goncalo Alves. They are awesome, but a bit slippery with full-power loads. Fit and finish is outstanding. This is the gun they reside on

    I found my solution.

Years ago, I would go for a walk at night. Once time, I heard a dog growing and running towards me. I drew the gun I took along for walking, a HB Model 10, with bringing my flashlight up. As I hit the dog with the beam, he was stopped by a chain-link fence.

I thought about pretty much how screwed I could have been, so I bought a set of Crimson Trace LG-306s (for a lot less than list price). I do my walking during daylight, now, so that Model 10 is pretty much back in the safe.

So I swapped out the kind of chunky Goodyears on the Model 10 for the LG-306s. I didn't think of that until I was doing a periodic "inspect and wipe down" exercise.

i feel dumb as a post for not thinking of that earlier.

As they say, pics or it didn’t happen.

Oh yeah... between my eyes literally coming apart at the seams, and my several beloved round butt K-frames sitting unused in the safe, I think I’ve just seen the future in your pic, right there. Thanks for posting it, and about it; the 65 looks good.

I like crimson trace laser grips much better than tritium night sights. My favorite K frame RB grips- Ahrend’s retro banana, crimson trace and Rogers/safariland. I love spegals too

Yea...I’m beginning to realize there will be a point where the fiber optic vials just aren’t big enough. Lol

never had a problem with altamont grips for rugers or smiths, the fit and finish was always first class.

I have those on my 19-3 snubbie. The OEM round butt just doesn't give me enough to hang onto. Those are keepers.

You revolver looks like an L frame, maybe 686?
